Not once at this
school have I heard of students advocating for administrative involvement in student affairs. Not once
until the Washington Square News decided to make a comic-book-like series out of the CAS Student Council.
The student voice at
this school has been dismantled, and needs to be restored.
Though it is difficult not to take this situation personally, I have found solace
in the idea that dissatisfaction can be the first step to involvement and change, for some students,
and that perhaps this media attack on me will provoke more students to get involved in working toward positive change at NYU.
I am no longer Student Council President at NYU, but I will never stop advocating for the students, and
I will never stop urging students to stand up for what they believe in.
